Rooted in Dewey and serving rural Yavapai County with the deep conviction that every individual deserves respect, comfort, and compassionate presence.
At Legacy Hospice, caring for others is more than what we do—it is who we are. As a family-owned and operated hospice agency, we have built our foundation on compassion, service, and a deep commitment to the people and communities we are honored to serve.
Our owners and team members share a genuine passion for caring for those facing life's most difficult journey, and we consider it a privilege to walk alongside patients and families during this sacred time.
We promise dignity without compromise, comfort without delay, and support that embraces the entire family.
Legacy Hospice Family Team & Founders
Legacy Hospice is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized, and dignified care to those we serve. We believe that hospice should be patient-driven and family-centered as no two people are the same.
A team approach to end-of-life care is pivotal to ensure patients and their loved ones have all physical, emotional, and spiritual needs met. In remembrance of our own loved ones lost along the way, our team has built a foundation of love that is reflected in our care for others.
We will walk with our patients on their end-of-life journey, guiding and supporting them each step of the way. We are honored to be a part of their legacy.
We seek to be our community’s first choice when choosing hospice care because we believe it is important to educate our community on the values of hospice at end of life.
“Legacy Hospice will be recognized as a hospice that cares immensely for the people we serve.”
Serving our rural communities is especially important to us. We understand that access to quality hospice care can be limited in rural areas, and we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to receive the gift of hospice care, regardless of where they live.
No one should have to face the end-of-life journey without support, comfort, dignity, and compassion. Whether you reside in Dewey-Humboldt, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Mayer, Peeples Valley, Paulden, or rural homesteads across Yavapai County, our team travels directly to you.
Serving Dewey, Peeples Valley, and Rural Yavapai County
We believe you only get one chance to make this experience meaningful. There are no do-overs when it comes to caring for someone at the end of life. The memories created during this time will stay with families forever, and that responsibility is one we take to heart every single day.
Our goal is to provide the highest level of care, comfort, and support so that patients can focus on what matters most, while families can cherish meaningful moments together.
What sets us apart is that our team understands hospice not only professionally, but personally. Many of us have experienced the hospice journey with our own loved ones. We know the emotions, the challenges, the uncertainty, and the importance of having someone there who truly cares.
That personal experience guides every interaction and fuels our commitment to treat every patient and family as if they were our own. We take pride in creating an environment where patients feel valued, respected, and cared for, and where families feel supported, heard, and comforted.
Built upon our acronym FOUNDATION, these ten core values guide our clinical practice, our compassionate presence, and our service to rural Arizona families.
Hospice care is designed for individuals with a life-limiting illness who have a life expectancy of six months or less if the disease follows its normal course. While many people believe hospice is only for the final days or weeks of life, the greatest benefits are often experienced when hospice services begin sooner rather than later.
Early admission allows patients and families to take full advantage of comprehensive support, building meaningful relationships with their care team, receiving education, symptom management, and compassionate care.
We respect every patient's autonomy, cultural heritage, and personal wishes. Every decision is made in partnership with the family.
Every life is a profound story. We help families honor memories, record reflections, and celebrate their loved one's legacy.
Walking beside families through every step of this journey with warmth, clinical competence, and spiritual peace.
